Description

The AM243x EVM is a standalone test, development, and evaluation module (EVM) that lets developers evaluate AM243x's functionality and develop prototypes for a variety of applications.The EVM is equipped with a Sitara™ AM2434 processor along with additional components to allow the user to make use of the various device interfaces including Industrial Ethernet, standard Ethernet, PCIe, Fast Serial Interface (FSI) and others to easily create prototypes. The AM2434 supports a variety of Industrial Ethernet protocols like EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET. An on-board display makes use of AM243x's serial peripheral interface (SPI) ports to provide the ability for local visual outputs in addition to the LEDs. On-board current measurement capabilities are available to monitor power consumption for power-conscious applications. The supplied USB cable paired with embedded emulation logic allows for emulation and debugging using standard development tools such as TI's Code Composer Studio™. The EVM also features an intuitive out-of-box guide to help engineers quickly get started with their evaluation.
