Description

The PAC1951/2/3/4 family of products are comprisedof one, two, three and four-channel energy monitorswith bus voltage monitors and current sense amplifiersthat feed high-resolution ADCs. There are two versionsof PAC195X: PAC195X-1 devices for high-side currentsensing and PAC195X-2 devices for high-side orlow-side current sensing or floating VBUS applications.Digital circuitry performs power calculations andenergy accumulation. This enables energy monitoringwith integration periods up to one year or longer. Busvoltage, sense resistor voltage and accumulatedproportional power are stored in registers for retrievalby the system host or embedded controller.PAC1951/2/3/4 has a set of digital comparators thatallow the user to detect over/undervoltage,over/undercurrent and overpower against userprogrammed limits for each channel and generate anALERT when the threshold is exceeded.The sampling rate and energy integration period can becontrolled over SMBus or I2C. Active channel selection,single-shot measurements and other controls are alsoconfigurable by the SMBus or I2C. PAC1951/2/3/4 usesreal-time calibration to minimize the offset error. Noinput filters are required for this device.

  • SMBus 3.1 and I2C Fast Mode Plus, 1 Mbps
