Characterization

High current ferrites are designed for high rated current, which refers to
40 K self-heating.
Applications: power supply, DC/DC converter

High speed ferrites have lower impedance in lower frequency ranges. Therefore has low attenuation on signals and focuses on a specific noise frequency.
Applications: USB, IEEE 1394, LVDS

Wide band ferrites show already high impedance in low frequency range. Therefore they are wide band through the whole spectrum.
Applications: control signals, RS232, RS422, DC/DC converter

High frequency ferrites have, due to a modified internal layout, an increased effective suppression frequency range. Consequently the impedance at 1 GHz is up to 3 times higher.
Applications: HDD, fast bus signal and clock signals
