Beschreibung

The MCP16501 is a cost and size optimized integratedPMIC, compatible with Microchip’s EMPUs (EmbeddedMicroprocessor Units) and associated DRAM Memories. It is compatible with SAMA5DX, SAM9X6,SAM9X7, and SAMA7G MPUs, which are supported bydedicated device variants.The MCP16501 integrates three DC-DC Buckregulators and one auxiliary LDO, and provides acomprehensive interface to the MPU.All Buck channels can support loads up to 1A and are100% duty cycle-capable.The 300 mA LDO is provided such that sensitiveanalog loads can be supported.The DDR memory voltage (Buck2 output) and MPUcore voltage (Buck3 output) are selectable by means oftwo three-state input pins. This method allows greaterprecision in the output voltage setting by eliminatinginaccuracies due to external feedback resistors whileminimizing external component count. The voltageselection set allows easy migration across differentgenerations of memory.The default power channel sequencing is built-inaccording to the requirements of the MPU. A dedicatedpin (LPM) facilitates the transition to Low-Power modesand the implementation of Backup mode with DDR inself-refresh (Hibernate mode).
