The EPC9178 is a 30 V – 60 V Input/Output, 15 A max back-to-back converter reference design suitable for solar optimizers. The EPC9178 features the 100 V EPC2306 eGaN® FET

  • Selectable output voltages that match most common solar panel busvoltages
  • Employs four low conduction and switching loss EPC2306 GaN FETs inback-to-back converter configuration
  • Simple, low component count, high power-density circuit designwithin a compact 50 x 60 mm footprint (excluding inductor)
  • Smooth transition from step up to step down or from step down tostep up output voltage
  • Supports multiple inductor footprints, allowing customizing the inductor
  • Supports adding additional ceramic capacitors to input and output
  • Programmable configuration controller
