This document is an engineering report that describes a universal-input 44 W 12 V off-line flyback converter using the latest fifth-generation Infineon Fixed Frequency (FF) CoolSET™ ICE5AR0680AG, which offers highefficiency, low-standby power with selectable entry and exit standby power options, wide VCCoperating range with fast start-up, robust line protection with input Over Voltage Protection (OVP), and various modes of protection for a highly reliable system. This demonstrator board is designed for users who wish to evaluate the performance of ICE5AR0680AG in terms of optimized efficiency, thermal performance and EMI.
