Controller

Like any integrated circuit the controller will need some peripheral components to make it run properly

ESD Protection

ESD protection devices should be put right behind the connector. Avoid layer hops to prevent propagation of the ESD.

DC Power Filter

This advanced π-Filter is designed for USB Power Delivery up to 100W. Inductor and ferrites are selected by their ability to withstand high currents while still delivering excellent EMC performance.

Common Mode Filter

On differential datalines, a CMC filters common mode noise without affecting the useful signal.

USB 3.x Connector

For USB 3.x applications we can support you in many ways. To be downward compatible you can use our Type A and Type B versions. Those versions are available in SMT, THT or THR for optimized processing. Even a fitting plug for Type A connectors is available. Stacked Type A options and Micro USB 3.0 Type B furthermore expand our portfolio.

USB 3.1 Type C Connector

We also have the new Type C connector as a plug and receptacle version. For the receptacle we have a THR-SMT Hybrid, a mid-mount and a vertical type version.

LVDS Lines

For these LVDS lines it is important to use impedance controlled micro strips.

SMT Spacer

With our SMT Spacers specially developed for mounting the USB C connector, we fully support the USB 3.1C standard.

With the SMT Spacers, a screw connection on both sides is possible (7466302), as well as an attachment on the top of the connector (746630200 and 7466312), provided that the cable intended for this purpose is used.

Short Introduction to USB 3.x / USB 3.1C

USB 3.x is the updated version of the familiar USB standard. Through additional LVDS high-speed wire pairs the transmission speed is significantly increased to up to 20 Gbit/s. Thanks to this fact high-resolution video interfaces can now also be implemented with the universal serial bus, among other high-speed applications.

Since higher currents are specified, USB 3.x can also be used as a connection to the power supply. The USB C standard brings a rotationally symmetrical connector and further advantages.
