Monolithic Power Systems MP4053-15

Description

The MP4053-7/-15 is a high voltage Buck PFC offline LED lighting driver with an integrated 550V MOSFET. In a single seven pin SOIC package, itachieves high power factor (PF) and accurate LED current regulation. MP4053-7/-15 enables low cost, high performance LED driver solutionusing only a few external components.

The MP4053-7 is recommended for up to 5W non-isolated, PFC, non-dimmable LED solutions. The MP4053-15 is recommended for the samesolutions with maximum power rating of 10W.

The MP4053-7/-15 integrates power factor correction (PFC) and valley switching mode to reduce MOSFET switching losses.

The high-side driving mode directly samples the output current every cycle, providing excellent current precision.

To enhance system reliability and safety, the MP4053-7/-15 has multiple internally integrated protection features, including over-voltage protection (OVP), short-circuit protection (SCP), over-current protection (OCP), brown-out protection, over-temperature protection (OTP), cycle-by-cycle current limit, VCC under voltage lockout (UVLO), and auto-restart function.
