Impedanzverhalten

Im Bereich der höchsten Impedanz, d.h. dem Resonanzbereich, hat die graue Kurve, die dem resistiven („ohmschen“) Anteil der Impedanz entspricht, ihr Maximum. Der resistive Anteil ist nur bei Induktivitäten mit Ferritkern zu finden und repräsentiert die Verluste des Ferritmaterials über der Frequenz.

Bei EMV-Filterapplikationen, in denen Induktivitäten (mit und ohne Ferrit) verwendet werden, erfolgt die beste Signaldämpfung kurz unterhalb der Eigenresonanzfrequenz (SRF). Hier ist die Impedanz sehr hoch, wodurch die Dämpfung ihr Maximum erreicht.

Bei Signal-Filter- oder Impedanzanpassungs-Anwendungen ist es wichtiger, eine konstante Induktivität im relevanten Frequenzbereich zu haben, was bedeutet, dass die SRF der Induktivität weit oberhalb der Betriebsfrequenz der Schaltung liegen sollte.

DC-Bias

Bei Induktivitäten haben Faktoren wie der DC-Bias (Sättigung durch Gleichstrom) einen geringeren Einfluss auf den Erhalt der Impedanz, solange die Induktivitäten nicht über den Sättigungsstrom hinaus verwendet werden.

Im Gegensatz dazu hat der DC-Bias auf Multilayer Ferrite (z. B. WE-CBF) einen großen Einfluss und der das Bauteil durchfließende Strom verändert die Impedanz über einen bestimmten Frequenzbereich.

Die Multilayer Ferrite sättigen in Abhängigkeit des durchfließenden DC-Stroms (Bias Strom), wodurch sich die Impedanzkurve im unteren Frequenzbereich (<100 MHz) ändert und die Eigenresonanzfrequenz sich gleichzeitig zu höheren Frequenzen verschiebt.
