Beschreibung

switching regulator with a minimum switch currentlimit of 2.25 A so it is able to deliver up to 2 A DCcurrent to the load depending on the applicationconditions. The output voltage can be set from1.235 V to 35 V. The high current level is alsoachieved thanks to an HSOP8 package withexposed frame, that allows to reduce the Rth(JA)down to approximately 40 °C/W. The device usesan internal P-channel DMOS transistor (witha typical RDS(on) of 250 m) as switching elementto minimize the size of the external components.An internal oscillator fixes the switching frequencyat 250 kHz. The large ambient temperature rangemakes it ideal for aerospace and defenseapplications. A pulse-by-pulse current limit withthe internal frequency modulation offers aneffective constant current short-circuit protection.
