The article-specific clamping range of WE-STAR-GAP enables precise selection for defined cable diameters, ensuring a secure and accurate fit. The series is characterized by its defined air gap, which allows targeted adjustment of the ferrite-based properties and provides excellent saturation behavior in the high-frequency range. The products are available in grey and black.

How does the number of turns affect the impedance of snap ferrites? This #askLorandt video provides a practical explanation of how one, two, or multiple turns influence the damping and filtering behavior of ferrites. Based on measurement results, it shows the differences between closed ferrites and split snap ferrites, how impedance changes across different frequency ranges, and why additional turns can be particularly beneficial at lower frequencies. At the same time, it becomes clear that as the number of turns increases, parasitic effects such as higher capacitance also play a role.
