Description

The LM516x device is a 65-V, 2-A synchronous stepdownconverter with integrated high-side and low-sideMOSFETs. The constant ON-time control schemerequires no loop compensation and supports highstep-down ratios with fast transient response. Aninternal feedback amplifier maintains ±1% outputvoltage regulation over the entire operatingtemperature range. The ON-time varies inversely withinput voltage resulting in nearly constant switchingfrequency. Peak and valley current limit circuitsprotect against overload conditions. The undervoltagelockout (EN/UVLO) circuit provides independentlyadjustable input undervoltage threshold andhysteresis. The LM5160 is programmed through theFPWM pin to operate in continuous conduction mode(CCM) from no load to full load or to automaticallyswitch to discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) atlight load for higher efficiency. Forced CCM operationsupports multiple output and isolated Fly-Buckapplications using a coupled inductor.
