Description

SGM41528 is a battery charger and system power path management device for 2 lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries. Its low-impedance power path optimizes efficiency, reduces battery charging time, and extends battery life. I2C programming makes it a flexible power supply and charger design solution.SGM41528 Capable of detecting input source types, including SDP/CDP/DCP and non-standard adapters, via the USB BC1.2 compliant D+/D- pin.

  • High-efficiency, 2A, 1.5MHz boost charger: Up to 92.5% charging efficiency at 1A charging current at 7.6V battery voltage
  • USB OTG with 4.5V to 5.5V Adjustable Output: Up to 2A Output, Up to 94.5% Efficiency at 5.1V/1A Output
  • Selectable PFM mode and no audio (OOA) mode for light load operation
  • Narrow Voltage DC (NVDC) power path management
  • I2The C port is used for flexible system parameter setting and status reporting
  • The integrated ADC monitors input voltage, input current, battery voltage, charge current, system voltage, battery temperature, and chip temperature
  • 13mΩ switch for high battery discharge efficiency
  • USB BC1.2 and non-standard input source adapters are automatically detected
  • The Input Current Optimizer (ICO) maximizes the adapter output current without overload
  • Programmable input current limit (IINDPM) and dynamic power management with support for USB standard adapters
  • Maximum power tracking with programmable input voltage limit (VINDPM).
  • Safety features include configurable JEITA battery temperature protection
  • Battery charge safety timer
  • thermal regulation and thermal shutdown
  • Watch Dog Monitoring I2C operation
  • VBUS/system/battery overvoltage protection
  • Output overcurrent protection for boost and OTG buck modes
