Description
FD6000 is the universal digital controller for ratio/metric and high efficient intermediate bus conversion (IBC). FD6000 can support switched tank converters and not regulated LLC converters, also named DCX. In those converters, the output voltage is a fixed ratio of the input voltage. The DCX converter can also provide the output voltage with isolation from the input voltage thanks to the transformer: in this case we suggest to place the FD6000 at the secondary side to assure output current and power telemetry whose sensors are located at the synchronous rectification FETs. The FD6000 supports DCX converters design with any ratio: of course, the FD6000 sensors pin might be clamped to withstand with the absolute maximum voltages indicated in the FD6000 datasheet. FD6000 provides fault management, telemetry via PMBUS and frequency control to operate at the best efficiency point; so it is the best technical solution for IBC in telecom, networking and other higher voltage applications.
