The LM53625-Q1/LM53635-Q1 synchronous buckregulator is optimized for automotive applications,providing an output voltage of 5 V, 3.3 V, or anadjustable output. Advanced high-speed circuitryallows the LM53625-Q1/LM53635-Q1 to regulatefrom an input of 18 V to an output of 3.3 V at a fixedfrequency of 2.1 MHz. Innovative architecture allowsthis device to regulate a 3.3-V output from an inputvoltage of only 3.55 V. All aspects of the LM53625-Q1/LM53635-Q1 are optimized for automotive andperformance-driven industrial customers. An inputvoltage range up to 36 V, with transient tolerance upto 42 V, eases input surge protection design. Theautomotive-qualified Hotrod QFN package withwettable flanks reduces parasitic inductance andresistance while increasing efficiency, minimizingswitch node ringing, and dramatically loweringelectromagnetic interference (EMI). An open-drainreset output, with built-in filtering and delay, providesa true indication of system status. This featurenegates the requirement for an additional supervisorycomponent, saving cost and board space. Seamlesstransition between PWM and PFM modes and lowquiescent current (only 15 μA for the 3.3 V option)ensure high efficiency and superior transientresponses at all loads.
