5A, 36V, 1.5MHZ NON-SYNCHRONOUS STEP-DOWN CONVERTERPreliminary InformationOctober 201610/25/2016The IS32PM3415 is frequency adjustable, 5A, currentmode step-down converter with an integrated highside switch. The IS32PM3415 operates with the wide input voltage from 4.5V to 36V and provides anadjustable output voltage from 0.808V to 30V. TheIS32PM3415 features a PWM mode operation with upto 1.5MHz adjustable switching frequency. TheIS32PM3415 also provides a highly efficient solutionwith current mode control for fast loop response andeasy compensation. The IS32PM3415 automaticallyenters PSM mode at light load.Cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdownare provided for fault condition protections. An internal2ms soft-start design reduces input start-up currentand prevents the output voltage and inductor currentfrom overshooting during power-up.The IS32PM3415 is available in E-SOP-8L withthermally enhanced package.
