New WE-CLFS S-Parameters Extend Down to 5 Hz for Greater Design Accuracy!

Designing for low-frequency performance just got easier. Würth Elektronik has released improved S-Parameter files for its WE-CLFS Line Filter Series, now starting at just 5 Hz. This update provides significantly more accurate modeling across the entire frequency spectrum.

What’s New?

  • No interpolated values in the lower frequency range up to 10 kHz
  • Detection of the real filter characteristic by measurements from a frequency of 5 Hz

Why It Matters:

  • Interpolation related deviations are corrected
  • More reliable low-frequency simulation results
  • Better prediction of EMC behaviour
  • Improved design accuracy for sensitive applications

New SPICE Models Available:

Line Filter Topologies

In line filters, different stages can be distinguished. Single stage filters offer attenuation of up to 75 to 80dB. In the improved single-stage filter, an additional X-capacitor provides better suppression of differential mode noise. The highest common and differential mode attenuation is offered by the two-stage filter, which includes an additional common mode choke and another X-capacitor.
