Let's meet our new WE-FTDB DC-Link Capacitor Series

WCAP-FTDB: Film Capacitors THT DC-Link Boxed (MKP)

A metalized polypropylene (MKP) film is used for the new product series DC-Link film capacitors. This results in the following features and characteristics:

  • High ripple current capability
  • High voltage values (up to 1200 VDC)
  • Long expected lifetime
  • High ripple current capability
  • Capacitance range: 1 µF – 75 µF
  • Operating temperature: -40 °C up to +105 °C

DC Link Application

Film capacitors, aluminum electrolytic capacitors or MLCCs can be used for the DC link application. Significant differences exist, among other things, with regard to the nominal voltage, the possible capacitance and the design/size of the capacitor. Intermediate circuit applications are e.g. frequency converters, solar inverters and DC chargers in the field of e-mobility. The diagram shows a simplified representation of a three-phase converter.
