This presentation was part of our virtual conference (25-28 Oct.): WE meet @ EMC Digital Days 2021 In theory, it looks quite simple how to choose the right passive components. Therefore, various literature, calculations and description are available. The dataset of the IC manufacture guides you through the process of finding the right components for the application, too. After finding the components, you will see the needed values and specification inside the datasheet of the different vendors and you can compare them. Nevertheless, are they comparable? Maybe you observe the following situation too. Everything went well at first sight, but when the application is tested at the edges, there is some unforeseen behavior. We are working with non-ideal components and there are more things to consider when using the passive components under real operation conditions. We will explain this behavior; show you these effects and will explain why they are present.
