Flexible solder resist is used for cost-efficient flexible and rigid-flex printed circuit boards. Previously, a screen-printing process in the clean room was necessary for the lacquer application.

Now, as a milestone after intensive development and qualification, Würth Elektronik Circuit Board Technology is introducing an additive application process using an inkjet process into series production. With digital additive technology, material properties can be improved, precision increased and overall manufacturing tolerances noticeably reduced.
