The aim of the Wireless Connectivity Software Development Kit (SDK) is to minimize the effort required on customer side to enable his host MCU to communicate with Würth Elektronik eiSos radio modules. It contains the implementation of all available commands in pure C-code. In order to integrate any Würth Elektronik eiSos wireless module, the user has to simply port the corresponding C-code to his host processor. This significantly reduces the time needed for developing the software interface to the radio module.

The Würth Elektronik range of sensors provide advanced sensing capabilities to any embedded application. The built-in digital interface enables easy integration with any of the most commonly used host MCUs through industry standard serial communication interfaces like I²C. This also allows complete configuration and control of the sensor via software running on the host MCU.
The Sensors Software Development Kit (SDK) is a set of software tools that enable quick software integration of Würth Elektronik eiSos sensors to application software on the host MCU. It consists of a set of platform-independent drivers for the sensors and sample applications developed on the Raspberry Pi platform written in C.

The "ACC V3" is a tool to update and configure certain Würth Elektronik eiSos modules. The supported features will include the search and upload of new firmwares as well as the modification of the available configuration parameters. It allows full user control over all supported products, as in the range of the producer’s intentions, always referring to the respective manual of the connected module.

The Adrastea Commander is a simple PC software that enables complete control of the Adrastea-I Cellular module. This tool offers an intuitive graphical user interface that enables the user to interact with the Adrastea-I and understand the syntax and semantics.
The Adrastea Commander works out-of-the-box with the Adrastea-I evaluation board. They allow quick prototyping and testing of various features of the Adrastea-I Cellular module.

The AT command tool is a simple PC software that enables complete control of the Calypso Wi-Fi module via the AT Command interface. This tool offers an intuitive graphical user interface that enables the user to interact with the Calypso and understand the syntax and semantics of the AT command interface.
The AT command tool works out-of-the-box with the Calypso evaluation board. This tool along with the Calypso evaluation board allows quick prototyping and testing of various features of the Calypso Wi-Fi module.

Calypso Firmware Over The Air (FOTA) - This is the firmware update package for the Calypso Wi-Fi Module. The Calypso Wi-Fi Module offers secure over-the-air firmware updates to enable easy update of the firmware in the field. The update package includes the module firmware, service pack, root certificate catalogue and the files for the on-board Webserver. It is always recommended to use the latest version of the firmware. Please refer to the chapter on “Firmware Update” for instructions of updating the firmware on the Calypso Wi-Fi module.

In order to securely, connect devices to any cloud platform, X.509 certificate based authentication is used. This method requires creation of certificates for every device. In order to enable easy prototyping, Würth Elektronik eiSos’s Certificate generator tool can be used. This tool creates all the certificates necessary to get started. It is important to note that the files generated by this tool are for evaluation purposes only.

The Wireless M-BUS Analyzer is a tool for receiving and analyzing wireless M-Bus telegrams that comply with EN 13757-4:2013 transmitted by devices with role "meter" or "other". It supports both unencrypted and encrypted telegrams (supported encryption modes are: 0, 5, 7) in accordance with the OMS specification Vol2 V4.1.0 (draft June 2016) and EN13757-3:2013.
The data records in the telegrams are displayed in plain text by means of the integrated parser, which greatly simplifies the interpretation of a telegram. A review of the configuration settings or, for example, the meter readings can therefore be completed simply.
The Wireless M-BUS Analyzer is an excellent tool for analyzing errors and RF range of M-Bus devices. Thanks to the simplified representation and an integrated logging function, data can also be analyzed at a later time.
The software only works in combination with a licensed AMB8665-AT2 USB dongle. This USB dongle acts as the receiver for telegrams from the meters and supports the S-, T- and C-mode.

Thyone-I Firmware Update Image - This firmware image can be used to update the firmware of the Thyone-I via UART using a Windows PC. For more details refer to the chapter “Firmware update” of the Thyone-I user manual.

This tool provides the possibility to update the firmware of a Thyone radio module via the UART interface. It requires an exclusive connection of UART RX, TX RTS and CTS to a com port on the Windows PC. Firmware images for Thyone and Thyone Bootloader in the most recent version come included in the package and can be installed with a couple mouse clicks on the Thyone module connected to the PC. The Würth Elektronik Navigation and Satellite Software, WENSS for short, is a simple PC tool to interact with the EV-Boards of the Würth Elektronik eiSos positioning modules using the UART interface. It allows:

Certifications and Proof of Conformity

Which certifications apply where? We provide an overview.

A product that is to be marketed worldwide must meet the certification criteria of each country in which it is to be marketed.

There is no global certification that applies to all countries. This overview shows you which certifications are necessary for your application.

The Most Common Certifications and Proofs of Conformity

CE marking is required for products sold on the European market. The manufacturer brings the CE marking after compliance with the Radio Equipment Directive (RED). The tests can be performed either by the manufacturer himself or by an accredited laboratory. As a self-declaration, the manufacturer is responsible for the conformity of the product with the legal requirements and regulations.


In North America, products with wireless technology require FCC certification. Certification by a verified authority with measurements is mandatory.


For all other markets, national regulations apply.For example, launching a product in Canada or Japan requires ISED or ARIB certification. Most countries are close to CE or FCC. However, deadlines, requirements and measurements may differ.


These are based on existing certification bodies, similar to other national regulations, so little additional testing is required.
