Webinar Würth Elektronik PCBs: Benefits of rigid-flex & Co. - Impedance control for good signal integrity

Where system miniaturization is king and rapid or weak signals must be transmitted safely in critical environments, rigid-flex technology is often used. Intelligent sensors or vision systems are current examples that support the high-speed standard USB3 - with a transfer rate of 5 Gb/s . In such systems with high data rates, increasingly lower voltage levels and drive currents, losses are reduced by using impedance matched circuit boards. For this purpose, impedance matching and testing has been used for rigid printed circuit boards. In flex rigid PCBs, impedance matching for good signal integrity is also possible and is facilitated by the use of the latest software and hardware. Würth Elektronik has here built up their expertise, gained experience and already qualified the technology for mass production. Early and close coordination with the board manufacturer is necessary for the success of the system.
The webinar shows the advantages rigid-flex can offer to your system and the most modern ways of calculation, measurement and documentation of impedances, both in theory and in practical examples . Instructions and recommendations for best practice complete the webinar.
