This places our company among the top 1% of all evaluated companies worldwide – and at the same time makes it the first printed circuit board manufacturer globally to receive this distinction.

A global benchmark for sustainability

EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading platforms for assessing sustainability performance in global supply chains. The evaluation is based on an evidence-driven methodology and international standards such as:

•  Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
•  International Labour Organization (ILO)
•  ISO 26000

Companies are assessed based on 21 criteria across four themes:

•  Environment
•  Labor and human rights
•  Ethics
•  Sustainable procurement

Würth Elektronik Circuit Board Technology achieved outstanding results particularly in the areas of environment as well as labor and human rights. Very strong performance was also confirmed in the categories of ethics and sustainable procurement.

The award is the result of a long-term sustainability strategy that is deeply embedded in the organization.

Sustainability is part of the corporate DNA

At Würth Elektronik, sustainability is not an “add-on” but an integral part of corporate governance. Decisions across the entire value chain – from investments and production to the supply chain – are made with ESG principles in mind.

The focus is on three key transformation areas:
