Würth Elektronik eiSos installs charging stations: in the e-mobile to Waldenburg

Würth Elektronik eiSos has now installed eight charging stations for electrically powered vehicles at the company’s Waldenburg facility. Coming on top of the strategic prod-uct developments for the e-mobility market and its suc-cessful sponsorship of a Formula E racing team, this is a further building block in the company’s engagement for environmentally compatible technology and sustainability.

Employees and visitors alike are now able to recharge the batteries of the cars at these charging stations, and the manufacturer of electronic and electromechanical components already has the first two e-mobiles in its fleet. The charging stations supply up to 32 A via a Mennekes EN 62196-2 (VDE-AR-E 2623-2-2) type 2 plug or 16 A via an earthed safety plug.

Ecologically compatible

Würth Elektronik eiSos has made a pledge to managing its business operations in a sustainable, ecologically and socially compatible fashion. This is particularly evident in the company’s manufacturing processes and product design, but also in the resource-sparing measures at the facility. The new logistics centre, for example, uses state-of-the-art LED illumination throughout the entire building, and all invoices are dispatched electronically to save paper.
