Fun with eMobility

Fast and furious trade show presentation from the Würth Elektronik eiSos Group

The Würth Elektronik eiSos Group addressed trade show visitors at electronica in Munich, not only as an electronics developer and producer, but also as a motor sports fan. The ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport Formula E Team with its drivers Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi were guests on the exhibition booth and gave insights into their pioneering form of e-motor racing. The Würth Elektronik eiSos Group presented product innovations geared to applications in eMobility. On thematic areas relating to solution and product groups, visitors had the chance to speak with experts about possible applications for numerous components from various product areas.

The globally active company from Waldenburg, Germany supported the ABT Team from the very first season. An original racing car and race simulator on the exhibition booth, as well as a panel discussion with the drivers, were more than just attractive eye-catchers and well frequented crowd-pullers: As a technology partner of the racing team, Würth Elektronik eiSos aims to draw conclusions about the use of electronics in eVehicles under extreme conditions. The Formula E race series also shows that eMobility is fun and brings a great deal of power under the hood. Or as Lucas di Grassi, the number 2 in the Formula E world rankings, put it: “It is widely recognized that eMobility will become the norm in the future. So Formula E is going in the right direction and we are incredibly proud to be part of it”.

Several thousand visitors came from 8 - 11 November to the Würth Elektronik eiSos exhibition booth where the subsidiaries Würth Elektronik iBE and Würth Electronics Midcom were also represented. The racing simulator and booth party promised lots of fun on the exhibition booth, which invited the electronics manufacturer’s customers and guests to enter into technical discussions. Würth Elektronik eiSos skillfully expanded its electronica presentation to the Internet: All activities have been extensively reported in the social media channels. The trade show could also be followed digitally with a comprehensive, new communication concept consisting of video and live communication. The response to the entire booth concept and the trade show communication was outstanding and very positive.
