Niedernhall (Germany), 27 May 2026 – Würth Elektronik ICS, system supplier for electromechanical and electronic solutions for signal and power distribution in mobile machines and commercial vehicles, will be exhibiting at iVT Expo in Cologne from 10 to 11 June 2026. At Stand 4300 in Hall 1, the company will be showcasing solutions for vehicle electrics and electronics: from HV and LV power distribution systems to electronic control units.
Drivetrain electrification is currently a particularly important topic in the industry. Using custom-developed HV PDUs, Würth Elektronik ICS demonstrates how stable and safe connections for optimum power distribution between battery, on-board charger, inverter, and other consumers such as heaters or DC/DC converters can be realised in the 60 to 1000 VDC voltage range.
The REDline Power Boxes from Würth Elektronik ICS are a platform solution that enable rapid development of power distribution solutions for mobile machines through modularity. Different requirements for power and signal distribution as well as individual installation situations can thus be covered with flexible ease.
Two new variants will be presented at iVT Expo: the REDline Power Box Xtra and the CAN Box Medium CDM-A16. The REDline Power Box Xtra impresses with its generous PCB surface area and increased housing height, which facilitates the integration of numerous components (e.g., contactors).
The CAN Box Medium CDM-A16 specifically extends the functions of the REDline Power Box Medium 2.0. The plug-in CDM-A16 module adds intelligent control and diagnostic functions to power distribution.
Power distribution controllers from Würth Elektronik ICS – such as the ePDM 70-150, the CAN Box 8FR-6, and the new CAN Box Medium CDM-A16 – contribute to more efficient system architectures with integrated control and diagnostic functions and significantly reduce the wiring harness requirements in commercial vehicles and mobile machines. They also enable vehicle variants to be increasingly configured based on software, largely eliminating the need for individual adjustments to the electrical system.
