Würth Elektronik and Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns celebrate successful Partner Day

A full stadium, enthusiastic fans, and lots of hands-on activities: Würth Elektronik's WE Gameday at the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns' home match against the Straubing Spiders on August 30, 2025 offered a vibrant mix of sports, community engagement, and regional togetherness at Optima Sportpark.

Since last year, Würth Elektronik, a manufacturer of electronic and electromechanical components headquartered in Waldenburg, has enjoyed a close partnership with the American football team Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns. Both organizations share the belief that team spirit, passion, and commitment are the foundations for sustainable success – in both sport and business. This partnership was brought to life in a special way at the WE Gameday at Optima Sportpark.

Even before kickoff, the Würth Elektronik stand was bustling with activity. Children and adults tried their luck in a competition for the main prize – a hot air balloon flight - while many visitors also took the opportunity to chat with company employees, relaxing in red deckchairs and enjoying the friendly atmosphere.

Win-win partnership between sport and industry

“The team spirit in American football and the enthusiasm of the fans here in Schwäbisch Hall are something very special,” emphasizes Sebastian Valet, Managing Director of Würth Elektronik eiSos. “It's great to see how sport brings people together - and that's exactly what we want to promote with our support. The partner day showed how lively this connection is.”

Nina Wengertsmann, CEO of the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, also expressed her enthusiasm: “We are very grateful for the partnership with Würth Elektronik. Our spectators were once again able to experience how well the two sides fit together at this year's Gameday. The day was an all-round success - on and off the pitch.”

The Unicorns delivered a strong performance on the field, ultimately winning the game with a decisive 45-21 victory. While every yard was fiercly contested, the Würth Elektronik stand remained a welcoming addition throughout the afternoon- a meeting place to connect, participate, and, with a bit of luck, win. The company once again highlighted the importance of team spirit, fair play, and regional solidarity - values that make a real difference in both business and sport.
