Location Schopfheim

Schopfheim, the production site of Würth Elektronik Circuit Board Technology, is located close to the borders of Switzerland and France, in an internationally popular holiday region. It is an ideal starting point for trips in the “three-country triangle” and to the Black Forest and offers a great choice of activities particularly for walkers and families with children. The town’s excellent urban infrastructure – an all-day school, child care services, numerous sports associations and extensive shopping facilities – makes life easier, also for young families.

Culture enthusiasts will appreciate the region’s rich diversity. The Forum Würth in Arlesheim (Switzerland), for instance, offers myriad events, guided tours and concerts for art aficionados of all ages, thus opening up different leisure activities that are either free of charge or available at discounted rates. The “Röttler Schloß” castle ruin has for several decades provided an extraordinary setting for the annual castle festival. All kinds of sports facilities – swimming baths and thermal spas, golf courses, mountain and downhill biking, and horse-riding, amongst others – are also available at or within easy reach of Schopfheim.

Nature-lovers can visit the Erdmannshöhle caves in Hasel with their millennia-old stalagmites and stalactites or enjoy other attractions, including winter sports, in the southern Black Forest holiday region.

Constant investments into the Schopfheim production site

With its around 374 staff, the Schopfheim site is a competence hub for the production of complex PCBs in HDI technologies, with Thermal Management, Wire Bonding and Printed Polymer. Our direct cooperation with the sites in Niedernhall and Rot am See means that we can offer our customers a comprehensive range that spans all prevailing circuit board technologies.

In order to maintain the high level of our products and services we are committed to excellently trained and motivated staff. We encourage women and men who are willing to meet the challenges of modern circuit board production to fill open positions. Respective investments in facilities and equipment serve to maintain the efficiency and performance of the site.

Our numerous vocational training programs are tailored to win skilled workers not only but also from within our own ranks. Industrial clerks, machine and facility operators, industrial mechanics, materials testers, electricians and IT specialists – to name but a few professions – are always welcome candidates. We also provide a variety of Bachelor programs (DHBW). Furthermore, we are strong proponents of internal trainings targeted at and adapted to individual staff needs.
