Introduction to Power Elements: Terminal with Press-Fit Technology
Technical Information
Wurth Electronics Midcom’s Power Elements with press-fit technology are made of a copper zinc alloy and are fully compliant to RoHS standard. The surface material is copper with a tin plating.
Our Power Elements are recommended to be used in combination with circuit boards between 1.6 and 3.2 mm thickness for the optimal connection between the component and PCB. The temperature range for the elements is -40°C to 135°C, with a current rating of up to 10A per individual pin of the component.
Applications
Wurth Electronics Midcom’s Power Elements are designed to be used in several market segments:
- Wind and solar energy
- Medical
- Industrial
- Agricultural
- Automotive
Within those markets, Power Elements products are used in both power supplies and battery systems:
Power Supplies:
- Power converters
- Frequency converters
- Drive systems
- Inverter modules
Battery Systems:
- Emergency power supplies and systems
- DC/AC inverters
