- General information:
RoHS (Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances)
The RoHS guideline of the European Union (EU) regulates the restriction of the use of dangerous substances. It forbids the use of certain substances in electrical and electronic e quipments after July 2006.
WEEE (Directive Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
This guideline contains the recycling, sorting and processing of products which don't correspond to the guideline.
- The most important contents of the RoHS guideline:
Equipment which is put on the market after 7-1-2006 cannot longer contain the following materials: • Lead (<0.1%)
• Quicksilver (<0.1%)
• Cadmium (<0.01%)
• Hexavalent Chrome (<0.1%)
• polybromiated Biphenole and polybromiated Diphenylether respectively Exceptions:
• Lead in copper-alloys (e.g. brass) until a mass ratio of 4%
• That concerns our current supply divices
